My work stems from the environment I live in, my travelling back and forth between two countries, and my reaction to the space I am in. I construct large forms that are made to interact with the open air. By placing the form outside it becomes animated not in a mechanical sense but through it's composition, it becomes a part of the nature around it, creating new spaces within.

My smaller pieces are more symbolic, they hold contact with the past. They sometimes hold a historical element. In my practice I have been inspired by Sicily where I have returned every summer since I have been born. It is the richness of its' history and the somehow absurd quality of the life there, that has inspired much of my work.
