From the 12th until the 24th of July 2016, ForumArts hold the ForumArts Sculpture Symposium. London Sculpture Workshop, one of our partners have set up the workshops at 2 old stables at Riverhill Himalayan Gardens in Kent. A selection panel of Julian Wild (ForumArts), Donald Smith (Director of Chelsea Space and Trustee of Chelsea Arts Club Trust), Sarah Rogers (DIrector of Riverhill Himalayan Gardens), James Capper (Sculptor) and Silvina Soria (Director of ForumArts) chose 5 artists to work intensively over eleven days to create ambitious and large-scale outdoor sculptures.
During eleven days, the selected artists have managed to achieve their goals. Claire McDermott, Tim Norris, Lauren Wilson, Nathan Murphy and Nayoung Jeong have delighted us with their skills, perseverance, enthusiasm and conviction to finish their sculptures in such a short time with the highest professionalism.
The sculptures produced remained in exhibition for the rest of the summer 2016 and 2017. A publication will be produced in 2017 for the London Conference.
ForumArts Sculpture Symposium thanks deeply to the supporters that have joined us believing on our project:
